the ambition

I have the greatest ambition ever. And that is to be a TRAVELER. I don't see it much as a dream because I know I'm gonna make it come true. And those who're shaking their heads right now disapproving of whatever I'm saying or feel that this is just too goddamn impractical, just you wait and see ;) This little flame in me is becoming more prominent day by day and I can't control that burning desire to go out of country anymore. I wanna see those neverending mountains, rolls and rolls of glorious green hills, stare beyond the horizon and wait for the day to turn into night, admire the first stars that liven the dark black sky, experience the changing of seasons and life in the countryside, meet new people.. gosh I could go on and on. I just wanna spread my wings and fly.. Haa. Gonna work hard towards it. Anyone wanna make a good wager? 100 pounds for a start. xD

it's not being stubborn to go after what you know is right.

mid-autumn festival

This is killing me. I need someone to shoot me so so badly to ease me from this pain. Aye.

On a much lighter note, I'm so into celebrating this year's Mid-Autumn Festival. There's so much hype about mooncakes in the office since last month! And the best mooncake (brought by the hoteliers) I've tasted so far would be those from Raffles Hotel. They've added champagne into their white little mooncakes and I swear it's heavenly. Another factor for my enthusiasm in this festival comes from these pretty lanterns when I was at Clarke Quay with Hansel. I was practically snapping pics away like I'm clinging on to the last of my life haa, but didn't have a digi cam on hand then. So the colours of the pics ain't that great.. Yeah, stop guessing. That's Chang-E and I have to say she looks pretty lonely cos' I didn't see her famous archer of a husband (Hou Yi) anywhere, except for the Moon Elder.

His big name is Yue Lao.
Direct translation: Moon Old (LMAO)
Indirect translation: Moon Elder/God of Marriage/The Old Man in the Moon
This man is definitely not my best of friends. But I'll be waiting for the day when he decides to tie me and the future husband with an invisible silken cord that never breaks as long as life lasts. Haa. And yea, there's another reason for wanting to celebrate this festival but it would be better if I hush hush about it. And now, whoever's free on Tuesday evening wanting to relieve some childhood memories and play sparklers, candles or even LANTERNS with me, you're welcome to date me out regardless of your race, gender, age, weight, height.. LOL. If you would excuse me, I have to do some cleaning up of the mess and some recovery. Yeah, I need first aid very badly.

light that fire

Flaming lamborghini is a woooooooooooohooooooooooo super nice drink. Not for the faint hearted though. It made my insides all warm and tingly and acts as a great anti-depressant on a cold gloomy night. Superb, just for me. Oh and Heineken lovers, it's time for a switch to a newfound love - Hoegaarden. Super smooth and there's no bitter aftertaste. The best beer ever.

Anyhow, I've been working and party-ing so hard everyday after work. It's a wonder how I still couldn't get to sleep every night even when fatigue is creeping up on me. This is so ridiculous. Geez, just lemme have a good night's rest.

the simple kind of happiness

People I'm back!! It is the first time I didn't really sleep for 3 nights for a chalet and the first time with only 5 people living together under one roof. There's a first time to everything so I see. =D But it's a really good thing staying with small numbers in a chalet as well cos' everyone was talking to one another during the BBQ and stuff. And, it was such a happy affair, bbq-ing for ourselves and not having to entertain anyone we don't know well. It's just happiness. And ahh, bonds are such wonderful invisible metal chains.
Crushed by the evil marshmallow! Haha! Alright it's getting so late.. Come to think of it I've been drinking alcohol like water ehh~ I can't picture what will happen to me in a few more years to come. Haaa! And one more picture.. BANDFREAKS! Really miss you guys loads. When I got home that day you guys were about to go. Omg we were not meant to be. Butbut drop by my house again soon okay, I'll be at home promise! :) I'm tired~ that's all for tonight.

being simple is beautiful

Walking around in a dreamy fashion, with super unfocused eyes and a cloudy head, it is kinda amazing that I even made it to work yesterday morning. What with all the withdrawal symptoms about work, I was pretty astounded when my highly sensitive 'antennas' detected some super-uber-hyper energy in the atmosphere at the office. Everyone was in some really happy mood. Ahh, two new colleagues so I see - additional people to share the workload. HAHA! But unfortunately, I'm still quite on my own la. Anyway, I'll be MIA-ing for quite some time cos' there will be a chalet going on from 13th - 17th September, by the poly friends. So looking forward to the mahjong sessions! And yea, tired from the lack of rest and too much thinking.

the future belongs to those who believe the beauty of their dreams.

lucky for once?

As much as the procrastinator I am, it's now high time to do something about all the stuff which were left pending. But first and foremost, I would like to introduce to you guys the ultimate emo song. Shirushi. The ultimate antidote to cure emo-ness: Chocolates (note: varies accordingly to each individual user. If antidote fails to be effective or allergies like tearing occur, please consult a specialist immediately)

Thailand trip - it's finally CONFIRMED. Yippees! Love to Qi for organising this trip, I just have so much love to give to you. HAHA! And to my mother as well, who accompanies me for millions of boring appointments I have every month. I love you. I have completely no idea where all this mushy-ness in me is coming from but ya, at least it's a testament to how I really feel.
watching those 2 pairs of little legs trot up and down the corridor, having a warm hospitality and a day full of laughters - it's simply happiness. Short-lived it may be but, I'm contented.

the 7th lunar month

Doughnuts in the air! Had a doughnut my colleague, Tracy bought for me from Missy Donut at Plaza Singapura about a week ago. Its taste brought me back to my childhood memories. So drama mama. Haha! But it really is good, try it if you haven't! Oh and talking about my colleague Tracy, she's going to be leaving the company in 2 days' time. I'm gonna so miss all the chit chatting with her! It's the only thing which keeps me alive in the office. And that message, it seriously touched me. Thank you so much for the care, I received it. =D And I would like to wish you happiness girl and be sure to have fun during your wedding day! <3

I found myself at a Kampung Hut at Sentosa last Sunday with bro and Meng. Love the cosy little hut so much!
There's 2 double decker beds, so the little hut can actually take in 8 persons (if there're gonna be 2 on each bed). And so, the 3 of us spent the night playing Saboteur. Bro gave me a pleasant surprise when he announced that he bought 2 bottles of red wine and 3 of us were to finish it. So we walked to the 7-Eleven outlet at Palawan Beach to get some ice and cups. Then on the way back to our hut at about 1am, we decided to take our first steps into the JUNGLE TRAIL. It's total darkness in there. Meng got kinda freaked out and decided to stay right behind my bro. Me, the last person. But after a couple of steps up, we made a break for the exit. It's too creepy for 3 people.

After we got back safely into our hut, we started drinking. Bro drank lots, I mean LOTS. He became so so drunk. I've never seen him in that state before, it's kinda scary. Haha! When the time came for us to release the toxins in our bodies, the 3 of us went to the toilets together. Butbut when I came out of my cubicle, the both of them were speaking in soft whispers, looking afraid. Having no idea at what's going on at that time, I hopped gleefully back to our hut and resumed our game. At about 3am..

Me: Shh. I heard footsteps outside.
Bro: I saw a shadow. Meng do you think it was the old man that we saw?
Meng: ...

We then continued our game and pretended nothing's happening until at about 3.30am..

Drunkard Bro: I wanna go toilet~
Me: Okay, let's all go together.

Bro opened the door and..an old man with a walking stick was right outside our doorstep staring at the 3 of us. We were seriously freaked out. The then drunkard bro told Meng to stay put in the hut whilst the 2 of us went to the toilets. When I was in my cubicle, I prayed so hard that I wouldn't see the old man outside my door. Alas, HE WAS RIGHT OUTSIDE. Damn. I saw bro staring at him and when I joined bro, that old man seemed to be asking me something but I couldn't really decipher what he was saying then (sounded abit like Thai language). I seriously couldn't see why an old man was stalking, or should I say waiting for us to come out of our hut at that time of the night. I listened carefully to his question again, (conversed in Mandarin)

The Old Man: How do I go home from here?
Me: Where is your home?
The Old Man: Kembangan.
Me: ...

I got totally freaked out cos' who in the right mind would want to go home from Sentosa at 3.30am, much less an old man with a walking stick. Then to totally escape from this creepy man, I told him to walk straight and turn right down the stairs out to Siloso Beach. And walked away as quickly as I could with the drunk bro. After this creepy episode, bro was puking the whole night. Like every 1 hour or so he'll wake to puke (I wasn't sleeping for the whole night so I knew). And I went for work right after that and had lotsa nightmares after that episode. To believe whether we've seen "that", is all up to your imagination. I've had enough for tonight.

angels

Why would most people rather be certain they're miserable, than risk being happy? This world is certainly lacking of happy people and now I know the reason why nights are often the hardest to bear. A quote for you guys:

'Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.' -Harold Whitman

Not forgetting to wish a Happy Teachers' Day to all the wonderful tutors who made a difference in my life. Especially to the secondary school tutor, Mr Koh.
