living life the way you want it

I was THE BIGGEST LOSER at the bowling battle between Harvard-me-Kor, let me show you why (look at the middle section for my scores):
And for the last game..THE BIGGEST IMPROVEMENT made was by me as well! Not bad eh? (please avoid looking at scores which are above & below mine)

Bro has been asking me out with his friends almost every night when I scarcely had any rest right after dinner + work. But I'm beginning to appreciate the short night getaways' now that work is becoming more stressful than ever. Andand, for those who are curious, certain criterias have to be fulfilled in order to get me out after 10pm.
1. You MUST have a car, otherwise, will only be able to go to places within walking distance from Bukit Batok train station.
2. You MUST be someone I'm able to see eye-to-eye with, not literally.
3. I MUST not be having my pms. Bahaha!

Into the 7th lunar month, the skies are definitely welcoming the imminent monsoon season with heavy thunderstorms and all. How coincidental can it be when the lunar eclipse coincides with this time of the year?! Anecdote starts here: One gloomy and dark evening after a jog with little miss muffet and miss xx, we decided to proceed to a secluded toilet for a shower and abandoned our usual showering place at SP stadium (a total of 5 showering cubicles and 3 taken up by girls who beat us to them). Well, intuition told me that we shouldn't go there for a shower but xx, the crazy woman persisted. And so, we reached the secluded, but newly revamped toilet and realised that there were only 2 pathetic shower cubicles with 1 locked FROM THE INSIDE.
Needless to say, I got freaked out. But 3 girls vs 1 cubicle, it's gonna take a long time waiting for one another! So we decided to get into that particular cubicle and volunteered xx as she's the smallest of us all. So the 2 of us lent her our hands and gave her a lift up to that door. The scene was kinda hilarious - we half feared that she might fall and what she'd see when she got in there. When she finally got inside that creepy cubicle, she opened the door with a blank expression on her face. We peeked in and after realising that there weren't any shower tap, bursted out in laughters. Seriously, curiosity kills the cat.

I must have some amazing psycho-ing skills to get the 4 of their butts into Indochine right before the last train of the night. But I'm guessing that they succumbed to my pleas after much consideration. Maybe I should use this tactic more often. Haa. Anyways we had one helluva night! And I would really love to try the reverse bungee one day! (regardless of the risk of being thrown out of the seat, I would still die a happy person)
Oh and for those who doesn't know, there's gonna be a lunar eclipse tomorrow at 7.14pm. Take a stroll out of that stuffy house and enjoy the partial eclipse. ;)

my eyes.

It's always at times like these when I can't shut out my emotions, try to smile and tell myself everything's alright. But I know I'm almost there..

I've been working so hard during the day and exercising like an animal after work. All those controversies and politics in the office are seriously driving me nuts. Humans can be really such selfish creatures sometimes. Sighs. C'mon guys, let's just stop all the backstabbing and make the office a pleasant environment to work in. Not too difficult to achieve, aint' it?

I made a visit to mummy's distant relative, Uncle David's eyewear shop for an eye check. When asked how was she related to him, my mother said "he's my cousin mother's daughter (given away) son-in-law, but not really my cousin because I call his mother auntie..[trails away] complicated ahaha". How cute she can be sometimes. =) And one thing I love about visiting Uncle David's is the fact that he speaks hakka to us - felt so at home. Another thing which really impressed me was that he is actually the chairperson for the national association of contact lenses or something like that. Like wow. And he was the one checking my eyes for that afternoon. I felt so like a VIP. HAHAH. Anyway, in the midst of checking my eyes, he gasped and told me that my eye power dropped by about 200 degrees and it was kinda rare to find. (I was half hoping that he'll tell me I need my glasses no more)

While checking my corneas,

Uncle David: You have pretty eyes. Many people are dying to get eyes like yours.
Me: WHY?!
Uncle David: Your eyes are light brown in colour if you haven't noticed. This means there is no need for you to buy coloured contacts in the future unless you want something other than brown of course.
Me: Oh...

I left the shop feeling kinda light-hearted. What Uncle David failed to realise was that he had just increased a little self confidence of a low self-esteemed girl.

the breakup

It's been only a few weeks and huge twists of events had taken place. I've had the worst insomnia in my life - not sleeping until 8am and having to go to work the next morning; jogging 2km after work and not being able to sleep for the night and then having to go to work again.. It felt like my life was shortened by 10 pathetic years. I did all I could to keep myself pre-occupied like staying overnight at Sentosa, the mahjong session and then the pubbing. All these exhaustion didn't really take effect until 2 to 3 days later though (this proves how tough my body actually is). Wuahahaha. My life is sort of like reaching its peak now that I realise my friends are always around. Always. =D Andand absolutely love the jogs every week too! Anyone who is really in need of doing some exercising, feel free to date me out!

Work is great as well although multi-tasking is really necessary everyday. And I'm much needed, by people in the office. This really adds another meaning to my life - at least I'm worth living for. Anyways, the amount of workload and implementation of the new system is really stressing all of them out, but it's amazing how they maintain those smiles on their faces. And for this cuteness of all my colleagues in the office, I'm gonna work OT; shoulder-to-shoulder with them for the next few days. And of course, carelessness got me scalded by boiling water on my way out to meet little miss muffet. Haaaaa. Aloe vera gel saved me from the burns, I'm so so lucky. And I'll never forget this day. My thoughts are so random, oh well. I'm alright I guess. xD

the little prince

Only the children know what they are looking for. They waste their time over a rag doll, and it becomes very important to them; and if it's taken away from them, they cry. -the little prince

They're truly the lucky ones. :)

a new beginning?

Give up on me completely, like how a real man would.
