down on luck

Have you ever experienced a day when everything just can't seem to be right? It's a day when everything goes wrong. Hahah! Well, that unlucky day sprung a huge surprise on me (i love surprises, but not of this sort..). I was at the railway train station this morning with 2 colleagues waiting for the luxury train to arrive, but it was delayed. It wasn't a great news cos' I had to make my way to Raffles hotel at 1.30pm to do a pre check-in for the train's departure tomorrow. So after all the passengers left, we scrambled to the entrance of the railway station and waited for our transport to fetch us back to the office. We waited patiently. Waited. And we waited.. By the time our transport came, I was already running really late. And guess what? When we were driven out to the main road, my colleague and I realised that we've forgotten the immigration forms. So we had to ask the driver to do a U-turn on the busy road, then ran back to get them. By the time I got back to office, I didn't feel well and there wasn't much time left so had only buns for lunch. -hussle hussle-

Then, I had to carry a heavy paper bag full of immigration cards, a folder of passengers' information, my clothes and shoes to Raffles Hotel. It so happens that the President of Indonesia is staying there for some ASEAN agreement thingy and security was kinda tight that I had to be repeatedly questioned for the purpose of my visit. Now I see why taxi drivers were unwilling to send me to Raffles Hotel (cos' the entire car has got to be checked). The pre check-in was fine. After everything, I hugged the paper bag (was afraid that it'll give way due to the weight) like I'm some pitiful employee being given the sack, looking for the nearest train station. And dear me, I was walking in the wrong direction without realising it. So after telling myself that Singapore is small and I'll find a way out, I found myself at Suntec Shopping Centre! But what irked me most was that, out of 5 escalators in City Link, 4 of them weren't working. How suay can~ I was dying from the blisters and the weight of the ridiculous bag. Seriously swamped. And it's only Wednesday. -scowls- When you are down on luck, it means you are really unlucky. Sounds like some stupid thing The Noose will air. Hahah.

There was this warm fuzzy feeling in the pit of my stomach after knowing that my little nephew is looking for me everyday. It's nice knowing that you are needed by someone. On the other hand, I noticed a peculiar phenomenon after friends chat with me in the msn.

Notice repetitive letters in your normal conversations? Congratulations, you have just got yourself the CTS (Caren's Twit Syndrome). Fyi, this syndrome is especially useful if there is a need for you to emphasise certain words to make your point heard.
