The end.
Well well well, attachment had finally come to an end, friends at the zoo will be missed dearly. Exams were over yesterday which means that life at Singapore Polytechnic has come to a full stop as well. The air was full of celebrations yesterday! We wasted no time on heading to Clementi's Kbox. I simply love love love my classmates. =) Kbox-ing is always a fun affair! Then, after much discussion, we went to Bugis for steamboat. Though the food wasn't really that nice, but at least it's a healthy meal with lots of vegetables and fibre, with great people for accompany! Haa.
Back to my attachment. The supposedly last day of my attachment was great! A super nice colleague treated us (the SP interns) to lunch in a restaurant, Forest Fare. Then, another colleague treated me to Ben & Jerry's ice cream. =) Uncle William, the oldest employee in the Zoo joined us and wanted to bring us for elephant ride. I thought he was kidding and refused to go initially cos' I haven't gained permission. But he actually pulled me along with another intern, Pearlene.
When we got there, we sat on my favourite ele with my favourite mahout! Gambir & Irwan. Gambir is the elephant which loves painting pretty flowers and she's the CUTEST among all! Irwan, the young mahout is my favourite ele trainer cos' he is ever so friendly and helpful! The experience was simply exhilarating. I thanked Uncle William and he almost made me cry by saying some parting words. Haa! He's the most romantic person I've ever met. ;)
Back at office, surprisingly, my supervisor told me that I could walk around the Zoo and say my goodbyes to whoever I wanted. Whee! So I went to the retail shop and was deciding which plushie I should buy when Aisyah said she could walk around the Zoo too! We then went to the tram station and found out that we missed the tram. =( So it was decided that we walk to Fragile Forest (FF) since I wanted to look for some keepers and let them know that I'm going off. At that moment, a horse carriage passed by and the friendly horseman decided to give us a lift! Hee. It saved us the trouble of walking all the way there! We haven't sat on a horse carriage and we were so happy that day. =x But I have to say that the horse is really pretty and its hoofs are really well maintained and clean! Then it started drizzling all of sudden, and the horse carriage is apparently not sheltered. The horseman dropped us at Fragile Forest where there is a tram to the restaurant and poor him, drenched in the rain together with the horse. Aisyah and I then decided not to go FF anymore since it's raining and we were determined to walk under the rain like how other tourists are with their ponchos. So we bought ponchos and walked under the rain, but the rain stopped though. Haha! An unforgettable day. Alright, pics at the bottom!
